From Ancient Origins to a Future Vision 🕊️

Our 2025 Olympic-Themed Spring Camp has wrapped its first round - and what an extraordinary journey it has been! In just five days, campers traveled across centuries, continents, and ideas - exploring the evolution of the Olympic Games and the powerful innovations that shaped each era.
Every day was built around a sweeping historical arc, taking inspiration from the structure of our full summer program and reimagining it in an immersive, five-day celebration of creativity, discovery, and unity.
Day 1: The Origins of the Olympic Spirit 🇬🇷

We began where it all started - Ancient Greece. Campers sculpted trophies, designed Olympic athletes, and imagined their own ancient events, all while diving into the wisdom of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle through storytelling and immersive creation. From philosophical quotes to laurel crowns, the Olympic values of excellence, competition, and unity were brought to life in every detail. 🏛️
Day 2: The Dawn of the Modern Olympics & Early Innovation ✈️🔬
With the rebirth of the Olympics in 1896 came a wave of invention - and our campers explored it all. They built artistic interpretations of the Model T, explored color through synthetic dye, and most memorably, reimagined two world-changing innovations:
The Invention of the Airplane: Kids explored the dream of flight with their own flying machines, learning how progress takes both imagination and courage.
The X-Ray Discovery: Through layered visuals and transparent materials, they created their own artistic “X-ray” works - learning how the invisible often reveals the most.
Campers also designed Olympic mascots and created new sports inspired by the early 20th century. 🏅
Day 3: Resilience, Representation & First Broadcast Moments 🎥📡
This day tackled powerful themes from the 1936–1976 Olympics, including political conflict, civil rights, and space-age dreams. Our artists-in-motion explored:
The Inception of Cinema: Children learned how visual storytelling began to shape global culture, crafting early film posters and storyboards inspired by Olympic moments.
First TV Broadcast of the Olympics: Using mixed media, campers recreated the wonder of seeing the Games from afar - marking the shift into a truly global event.
From sculpted athletes to rockets from the space race, every project reflected unity and innovation.
Day 4: Global Shifts and the View Beyond 🌍🔭
As the Games entered the digital age, campers explored how global events and technology redefined the Olympic experience. With themes from 1980–2012, they:
Created sculptures inspired by sport and activism
Reflected on how mobile tech and media connect us
Explored the Hubble Telescope 🌌 and its role in expanding our perspective of the universe - creating galaxy-inspired art that merged science and imagination.
Day 5: The Modern Olympics & The Road to LA 2028 🛹
The final day was all about vision: where the Olympics are now - and where they’re going next. Campers:
Designed futuristic sports arenas and virtual reality experiences
Created art inspired by new Olympic sports like skateboarding and surfing
Imagined a sustainable, tech-forward world, with projects focused on electric energy, autonomous vehicles, and quantum possibilities
It was a culmination of everything: creativity, innovation, and bold dreaming.
An Olympic-Themed Spring Camp Journey That Inspired, Connected, and Elevated 🌟
From the laurel leaves of Ancient Greece to the AI-driven arenas of the future, this Spring Camp brought the Olympics to life through storytelling, art, and exploration. Every project became a portal - into history, into possibility, and into the hearts of the children who created them.
